Whether you get caught in the rain on your commute, don’t have enough time to finish your makeup at home or need to freshen up before dinner out, store a kit of your fave beauty essentials at work. You’ll always look polished and will save the hassle of packing extras in your purse each morning.

Start by stocking up your desk with doubles of your favourite makeup products, like blotting sheets, concealer, blush and lip gloss. You’ll be able to touch up throughout the day, cover an unexpected blemish or add a little colour to your lips and cheeks before an important meeting. Check out M.A.C’s new Office Hours collection for long-wear formulas in flattering shades.

FLARE picks: M.A.C Pro Longwear Lipglass in Persistent Peach, $23, maccosmetics.ca. Eos Lemon Drop Smooth Sphere SPF 15, $4, at Lowlaws, Sobeys and Walmart.

To keep smelling sweet despite long hours and stressful situations, store gum, a toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant and a light, citrusy fragrance. Skip anything too heavy or sugary and apply sparingly. Make sure your hand lotion is lightly-scented as well and won’t leave you feeling greasy.

FLARE picks: Pantone Toothbrush, $14, drakegeneralstore.ca. Marc Jacobs Limited Edition Eau de Toilette Spray in Kumquat, $49, thebay.ca. L’Occitane Bonne Mère Gentle Honey Cream, $24, ca.loccitane.com.

Keep a few hairstyling supplies at the ready, in case you have plans immediately after work. Small items, like a mini hair brush, hair straightener and hairspray will allow you to do quick hair touch ups without taking up all of your drawer space.

FLARE picks: Mason Pearson Pocket Mixed Bristle Brush, $88, anthropologie.com. Amika Leopard Mini Ceramic Styler, $25, sephora.com.

There are also tons of great ways to store beauty products at work. We like a metal lunch box, as it offers plenty of space and is easily totable to the office washroom. You can also reserve one of your desk drawers for products and tools, and use small wooden boxes to keep things organized.

FLARE picks: Miner’s Aluminum Lunchbox, Classic 10″, $43, metalfabrictors.on.ca. Bamboo Drawer Organizers, $7-$13 each, bedbathandbeyond.ca.
