Q: I have just started dating this guy who I really like, but all that he seems interested in is sex, sex, and sex. That’s all we talk about. I am so confused. I don’t know if he is just using me. I even asked him about it, and when I did, he didn’t respond and just seemed less interested in me. What should I do? I keep trying to talk to him about it, but I don’t want to seem too attached. I don’t want to lose him, but I don’t even know if he really likes me or if he is just using me for sex. Please help!

You’re afraid of losing him and you’re not even sure he likes you? That’s not good. It sounds like you’re getting a bad deal with this new relationship. Why do you want to be with someone who you’re not sure even likes you? He can’t be that cute. And if his focus (sex) is not the same as your focus (relationship), then maybe you should hang out with someone else.

Q: My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years and thing have been good. But recently I caught him flirting with a gal from one of the local stores and it didn’t look innocent.  What should I do?

On one hand, it’s important to trust and follow your gut. But on the other hand, you’re making assumptions about your husband based on your perception of his flirtation. And you see this girl around quite a bit? She works for a local store. You have to have an open, honest talk with your husband. Tell him what you think and what you fear and ask for his side of the story. Find out what he wants in your marriage and go from there. And if he tells you he loves you and wants to be with you, believe him.
