All Dolled Up At Joeffer Caoc

Hair and makeup take cues from the toy world

It was lashes, lashes, lashes backstage at Joeffer Caoc’s S/S ’11 runway show last night. To compliment the Canadian designer’s flowy, feminine garments, makeup artist Grace Lee dreamt up a doll-like look for the models. The key to the pretty look was a maximal fringe, via curling, primer, individual falsies and mascara galore–on both top and bottom lashes. As Lee instructed the beauty team backstage, “once you think you have enough, add more.” The rest of the look was simple, with cashmere skin, golden highlights and a creamy magenta-pink cheek and lip. For hair, an ultra high topknot tied in the simple, cutesy look.
