Power publicist Kelly Cutrone isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. If you’ve missed her no-nonsense approach to fashion since The City and Kell on Earth ended, she’s back on the scene, with her own clothing line, dubbed The Electric Army. The fashion insider that we love to hate has just inked a deal to launch the collection with People’s Revolution colleague Robyn Berkley and Chris Burch (designer Tory Burch’s venture capitalist ex-husband). Targeting teens and women ages 15 to 32, Cutrone described the ideal client to WWD by saying, “You know that scene in ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ where Phoebe Cates climbs out of the swimming pool and pops her bikini? That’s our girl.” With a reputation for not holding back and a new book out next month called Normal Gets You Nowhere, we are sure the colourful publicist will bring a playful and unique aesthetic to the collection.
