Nothing says style and sophistication more than a lady carrying a Louis Vuitton bag, and this couldn’t be more true in Louis Vuitton’s new Spring/Summer 2013 campaign ads, where the spotlight is on the classic Alma bag in Parisian blue, taxi cab yellow and lacquer red. The ads feature supermodel Karlie Kloss, as well as Daria Strokous, Jac Jagaciak and Iris Strubegger in retro hair and all-black outfits from Vuitton’s pre-fall collection. Naturally, the colourful dome-shaped bags pull all the focus. With the tag line “Chic on the Bridge,” the models are shown standing on bridges in some of the fashion capitals of the world, including New York and Paris. Proving that great quality and simple elegance never go out of style, the Alma has been gracing the arms of beauties since 1934, and with its bright colours right on trend for spring, we’re sure many will be coveting its sleek shape this season.
Another Louis bag we have our eye on for summer is the Noé BB. Again, simplicity reigns with this leather bucket shape that will hold all the essentials you need to get through the day. The newly designed bag—which was originally spawned in the 1930s—will come in a variety of colours, but we’re totally digging the citron hue that will make any outfit pop. We’ll have a little time to save our pennies though, as the bag won’t be available until May.
