In our second installment of FLARE’s Fashion Challenge, we recruited Lindsay Alexandra Coome, 20, a student at The University of Western Ontario. She was put through the drills of embracing military style – a major fall trend – every day for a week. It was an uphill battle, with Coome admitting she struggled to “avoid looking like a girl scout.” With her use of hard-edge accents and regimental layers, we give her gold star for standout style. This commander-in-chic reported back her top tip for your consideration: “Don’t wear too many military accent at once, such as epaulettes, structured jackets and olive green.” Roger that.
