Perhaps better known on the other side of the pond, Vancouver native Tara Jarmon’s simply cut, feminine dresses and separates reveal the influence of her adopted city of Paris. Known for embracing a rainbow spectrum, punches of grape, turquoise, and coral are amply mixed with neutrals, translating into a playful aesthetic that has enthused jet setting European women needing that fun, but versatile dress for their weekend trip to Barcelona. Think bubblegum pink flouncy skirts, wide leg trousers and retro-inspired flower printed shifts mixed with basics like cropped white blazers and camel-colored capris. In 2006 Jarmon designed a line for Target’s Go International line, building up a stateside fan base that will hopefully see a North American addition to her fleet of 23 boutiques already gracing Europe and Asia.
