For the fashion faint-of heart, be wary: The bold, modern, semi-couture designs created by duo Lyle Reimer and Raymond Boutet (who named their label after their nephews) may leave you garnering stares. To wit: their Spring 2009 collection saw tulip cut-out appliqués adorning everything from short shorts to boyfriend jackets, with lazer-cut metal arm and leg cuff completing the look. Reimer and Boutet, whose CVs include make-up artistry and nursing respectively, have been creating collections that mix eclectic elements with traditional designs since launching their Vancouver-based label in 2005.
