This line of “couture-inspired sportswear” is defined by impeccable tailoring, expert draping and unique details, but unlike traditional couture, does not limit you to galas and dressy soirees. Printed ‘60s-inspired frocks and pleated maxi-dresses can be worn to backyard BBQs and flowy camis and wide leg trousers are easy to mix and match with your summer wardrobe staples. Majtenyi brings extensive experience to his line that is now in it’s ninth season. Educated in Canadian design colleges, as well as at the prestigious London Central School of Fashion, the Toronto native apprenticed under master tailor Vincenzo Cardone in late 19th and 20th century tailoring, as well as in advanced draping techniques with Madame Sophie. Not only has he created designs for the film and TV industry, but the mid-90s saw him work with the National Ballet of Canada, and his theatrical influences show up in the cuts, fits and finishes of his self-titled brand.
