Eighties kids will remember the cool tie-dyed tees created by this
California-based brand that became synonymous with late‘80s west coast
surfer style. Fast forward to 2003 when the design duo, energetic twins
Chip and Pepper Foster, relaunched their brand as a high end denim line
whose appeal lies in the vintage denim processing techniques used to
create their signature diverse washes. Look for the popular “Stella”
style; a flare cut that is flattering to every body shape and available
in washes ranging from a pale cream for summer months to a deep indigo.
Despite becoming unlikely denim connoisseurs with celeb fans like Sarah
Jessica Parker and Beyonce, the Winnipeg natives haven’t forgotten
their Manitoba roots – case in point, a denim wash named “Brandon” and
a jacket dubbed “Flin Flon.” And expect more Canadian iconography to
pop up in the brand’s ever expanding collection of denim, casual tees,
maternity, kids, and knitwear.
