With a name inspired by Buckminster Fullerand’s geodesic dome it’s
little surprise that the architectural quality of this Montreal-based
line has drawn international attention from places as far away as
Japan. Designer Clayton Evans, a native Albertan who graduated from the
Alberta College of Art and Design, launched Complex Geometries in 2005,
using a minimalist aesthetic and a focus on impeccable design.
Collections feature beautifully swathed tunics, dresses, and tees in
solid silk and jerseys, with seams and hemlines disappearing in the
draped fabric. Oversized hooded t-shirt dresses with cutaway shoulders,
asymmetrical parachute tops, and drawstring tied skirts have been
favorites amongst trendy fans.
