Back in her hometown after five years of studying at the prestigious
London College of Fashion, Vancouver native Mellinda Mae Harlingten
didn’t waste time launching her line of separates and dresses that draw
inspiration from iconic style mavens like Edie Sedgwick and Audrey
Hepburn. First debuting in Toronto for the Fall/Winter 2008 showings,
the collections mix luxury – high quality fabrics from Italy and Japan
– with a distinctive sense of urban sophistication. Perhaps this is why
in-the-know celebs like Jennifer Aniston and Michelle Pfeiffer, both
spotted wearing the black cashmere kimono sweater, are fans.
