A regular on the Toronto Fashion Week runway, David Dixon has gained a
devoted following with his trademark tailored trousers and elegant,
feminine dresses. The Ryerson grad, who apprenticed with Canadian
fashion icon Alfred Sung, launched his label in1995 and spent several
years working under the Toronto Fashion Incubator before establishing
his own studio in 1999. Dedicated to a simplified and modern
silhouette, the Toronto-based designer relies on texture to personalize
his pieces, with laser cut silk transforming cocktail dresses into
three-dimensional art and textured jacquard prints punctuating jackets.
