David Dixon is no stranger to the runway and his spring collection was anything but one note. He was inspired by Malcolm Maclaren’s music while creating the collection a mix of classic and modern. This came through in his pieces as his timeless silhouette’s were updated through his use of colour, prints and 3D embellishments.
FLARE favorite Naro opened the first half of the show in a striking lemon yellow dress. Having just seen an abundance of colour and various shades of yellow storm the international runways Dixon is definitely on to something. Other highlights included lace overlay, silk laser cut flowers and a hand painted tree print on flowing white chiffon. The second half of the show started with a dramatic butterfly print and showcased Dixon’s master tailoring. Bold accessories gave this collection that honed in on the lady like demure Dixon is know for an unexpected edge.
