Tavi Gevinson shocked the fashion world when she was perched front row at Dior Couture in Paris last season (not to mention causing quite a stir by sporting a large, some might say intrusive, headpiece). The only trouble is that, at 14-years-old, the Style Rookie never asked for the invite. It seems that top designers, Comme Des Garçons in particular, are simply taken with her.
“I’m really happy to see that some people don’t like what I wear ‘cause then I know I’m doing something right,” she told
FLARE regarding the whole hat debacle. “This might sound self-serving but I think it’s kind of cool that I’ll be a grandma and I’ll be [able to tell] my kids that people got really mad about what I wore.”
