Get your cameras and cellphones ready because the most star-studded month of the year is quickly approaching. The Toronto International Film Festival is famous for attracting some of the biggest stars in the business, and this year will be no exception. We’ve rounded up our favourite actresses we can’t wait to see grace the streets of Toronto.
Madonna: Madonna isn’t letting her disappointing role in Swept Away tarnish her movie-making dreams. The superstar is taking a stab at directing with her new film W.E., a love story starring Abbie Cornish that will debut this Fall at TIFF.
Jennifer Garner: Be sure to look out for March 2010 FLARE cover girl Jennifer Garner this September. The mega-star will be in town promoting the film Butter, a comedy she stars in alongside Hugh Jackman, Alicia Silverstone and Ashley Green.
Olivia Wilde: It looks like FLARE cover girls think alike! The stunning Olivia Wilde, who appeared on FLARE‘s cover in December 2010, will be joining fellow actress Jennifer Garner in the film Butter this Fall.
Sarah Gadon: Budding starlet and Toronto-born actress Sarah Gadon will be in Toronto next month to promote two films. You can catch Gadon in the chilling vampire film- The Moth Diaries– alongside Lily Cole and Sarah Bolger and in A Dangerous Method, featuring Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley.
Emily Blunt: Festival favourite Emily Blunt will be busy this September with two films on her plate. Blunt will appear in the romantic comedy- Your Sister’s Sister– directed by Jennifer Roth and Vallejo Gantner, and in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen with actor Ewan McGregor.
Kirsten Dunst: Former pom-pom tosser Kirsten Dunst will be in town to promote the fantasy/drama film Melancholia. Superb castmates Kiefer Sutherland, Alexander Skarsgard and Charlotte Rampling also appear with Dunst in the film.
Tilda Swinton: Oscar-winner Tilda Swinton will be in Toronto this Fall to promote We Need to Talk About Kevin, a film based on the best-selling novel. The actress will appear as a strong-willed and concerned mother, alongside co-star John C. Reilly.
The Toronto International Film Festival will run from September 8-18.
