"These are the dresses I've been looking for," shared Victoria Beckham who just announced the launch of her new affordable dress collection named Victoria by Victoria Beckham. The line of off-duty, casual looks draw inspiration from an unlikely muse, Emily the Strange, a cartoon character who dons a chic gothic look. With her line slated to land this spring, Beckham is moving full speed ahead. The mother of three is expecting her first baby girl this fall but is also busy planning her design label's next big step--a store said to be located in New York.
With prices starting at $550 for the new accessible line, Beckham sees both her luxe and affordable collections hanging on the same rack. Tailored in retro A-line cuts mixing girly prints like clouds, moons and cats, VB hopes to reach a broader audience of girls who can't afford the $6000 and up price tag of her runway looks.
Update: Beckham has just released a teaser video, created by Quentin Jones, featuring the collection's signature scalloped cuts. Expect to see the entire film later this month on FLARE.com
