Kicking off Wednesday’s shows at LG Fashion Week, Montreal-based Duy Nguyen brought his signature soft tailoring to a darker, more Gothic-inspired Duy collection. The floor-length gowns, black lace and eccentric extras were a nod to the designer’s muse and inspiration for the season, the inimitable Daphne Guinness.

At menswear label Krane, a theatrical element that included acrobatic martial arts highlighted a collection of solid outerwear and covetable bags. Our favourites? The waxed canvas parka and shearling bomber jacket.

Wesley Badanjak touched on some of the season’s key trends for his Lovas line, which included cocoon coats and rich bordeaux hues. The line included the usual dose of feminine frocks with a splash of separates and weekend wear.
