Short hair has been a major beauty trend this summer and it looked like Anne Hathaway was the latest celeb to jump on board when pics of the Brokeback Mountain star sporting a cropped 'do hit the web yesterday. Hathaway is currently filming One Day in Paris with Jim Sturgess, and apparently her latest character wears a much shorter hairstyle than the actress' signature brown locks, which we've rarely seen shorter than shoulder-length.

Her rep has confirmed however that the new look is simply a wig, likely since she's soon to hit the red carpet to promote the upcoming release Love And Other Drugs co-starring Brokeback pal Jake Gyllenhaal.
