When it comes to celebrating the high heel shoe, nobody said it better than Vivienne Westwood: "Shoes must have very high heels and platforms to put women's beauty on a pedestal". In an homage to Westwood's decades-long legacy in the world of footwear, Selfridges in the UK celebrates "Vivenne Westwood Shoes: An Exhibition 1973-2010". Showcasing everything from her iconic Pirate Boots from '81, to the always memorable Super Elevated Gillie (think Naomi Campbell's runway spill in 1993). Our hats are off to the ever-creative and always entertaining fashion legend.

If you're planning a hop over the pond this labour day, be sure to check out the 200-pair-strong exhibition at Selfridge's permanent arts and exhibition space, The Ultralounge, until Wednesday, September 22nd.
