With her boyish haircut and love for feminine floral dresses, Michelle Williams is the perfect fit for the Boy by Band of Outsiders Spring 2012 campaign. The Oscar-nominee captures the essence of the label: feminine elegance with a tomboy twist.
In the campaign, the My Week With Marilyn actress goes on a Los Angeles adventure that includes a picnic in the park and hanging out in a cemetery where she tries to dig up Alfred Hitchcock’s grave (of course). The journey is all documented in a series of hazy Polaroid-style photos.
Williams follows in the footsteps of fellow actresses Kirsten Dunst and Zooey Deschanel who were the previous faces of the label.--Erin Fitzsimmons

When superstar dance DJ deadmau5 arrived to announce the Juno nominations at Toronto's Design Exchange on Tuesday, February 3 in his trademark mouse-head helmet, it was a clear sign: the fashion is going to be, um, eclectic at the 2012 Junos. With scruffy dudes with guitars City and Colour, Dan Mangan, Hedley and Nickelback tied with Feist and Drake for a leading four nominations, fans of red carpet glamour will be looking to some of this year’s new faces.
Edmonton-born Best New Artist nominee Alyssa Reid, 18, is considering the younger looks of Sherri Hill, a frequent fave of Selena Gomez. Meanwhile, Dance Recording of the Year nominee Mia Martina is going with a one-woman institution. “I saw a really beautiful Diane Von Furstenberg go

This is a 90’s throwback that we want to hear; Brandy and Monica are reuniting again for a new single. The two first collaborated together in 1998 with their sassy single “The Boy Is Mine” which was the top selling song of 1998 and earned the singers a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group.
Fans have been begging for a follow-up duet for 14 years and the R&B singers have finally delivered. Their new single, “It All Belongs To Me,” will debut February 6, and is set to appear on both of their upcoming albums.--Erin Fitzsimmons

The New York Giants may have won the Super Bowl last night, but count the half-time show as a touchdown for Givenchy. Madonna wore Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Haute Couture throughout her 12-minute set, while her dancers wore Jeremy Scott for Adidas. The Roman-inspired outfits included a hand-embroidered gold cape with gold metal, studs and crystals for the opening song “Vogue.” Madonna then took off the gold cape to reveal a black charmeuse mini-dress with a hand-studded python belt and a gold metal hat, which was hand-embroidered with crystals. For the closing song, “Like A Prayer,” Madonna wore a long black cloak with hand-embroidered sequins and pearls.
The Material Girl’s outfits were beautiful and extravagant, but she didn’t let them get in the way of her dance moves, even doing cartwheels in her stiletto over-the knee boots. She did slip once, but quickly recovered. It was a rare misstep in a power performance by the reigning Queen

Get out your pom-poms—the Queen of Pop is back. Madonna’s new dance song, “Give Me All Your Luvin’” featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. premiered this morning, Friday, February 3rd.
The music video features the Material Girl in a suburban town with Minaj and M.I.A. as her cheerleaders, cheering her on and chanting her name while a football team dances around her. The three pop stars also don Marilyn Monroe wigs and white lace dresses reminiscent of Madonna’s “Vogue” era during the song’s hip-hop breakdown.
Madonna’s football themed video premieres just a few days before the Super Bowl, where she is set to take the stage during the halftime show. Madonna is keeping her performance top secret, but revealed that she is performing three old songs and her new single. There are rumours that Minaj will be joining her on stage.
iTunes is offering a limited time pre-order of the MDNA D
