With flashy nails enjoying a moment in the sun, polishes, tools and accessories for creating cool nails are everywhere. Unfortunately, all the inspiration in the world won't help if your hand isn't steady with a nail brush.
Enter Nail Rock. These super adhesive, nail-sized decals look like polish when applied, but help you to avoid dry time, smudging and poor handiwork. After a little buffing and scrubbing with an acetone wipe (provided with each set) to prep the nails, the strips are easy to apply. A small pair of nail scissors works best to trim the excess decal from the end of each nail.
We tried the British brand's Valentine's Day-themed nail wraps, available for a limited time at ebeauty.ca. We love the tiny black hearts and the way the metallic gold gleams.There's also a set with a graphic multi-coloured heart for each digit.

Liv Tyler is set to hit a high note later this spring in a new ad for Givenchy's new fragrance Electric Rose, under the Very Irresistible Givenchy perfume label.
Recorded in L.A. with David Andrew Sitek and filmed in Paris, Tyler rocks out singing INXS's I Need You Tonight. Expect to hear and see the full clip in early February.

To complement the plethora of pastel hues and soft florals on the Spring 2012 runway, makeup artists crafted sweet, delicate looks. Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin are a match made in lipstick heaven in the
new ads for M.A.C's Viva Glam initiative. The colourful campaign, which
was shot by David LaChapelle in Miami this past summer, features Minaj
posing on a retro motorbike and Martin foisting an oversized lippie over
his head.
Viva Glam is M.A.C wildly popular and charitably minded lipstick and
lipgloss range that raises money for the M.A.C AIDS Fund, which supports
AIDS and HIV initiatives in under-served communities. Past spokespeople
have included Mary J. Blige, Ru Paul, Elton John and Lady Gaga.
Minaj is known for her brightly coloured makeup looks and while her
& Martin's Viva Glam shade hasn't been officially revealed, we're
guessing it's the candy-floss pink the hip hop artists lips. (And in
that giant tube.) The next Viva Glam shade hits stores in February 2012.

Maybelline New York announced earlier today that they will be the
official makeup sponsor at Toronto Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012, which
runs from March 12 to 16. The brand also named Grace Lee as their new
official makeup artist in Canada. With experience working with top
labels including Alexander McQueen, DSquared2 and Roberto Cavalli, we
expect nothing but the best from Lee under the tents this season.
Update: Redken will be the official hair sponsor of Toronto Fashion Week under the leadership of Guido and Jorge Joao.
