Our love affair with outrageous nail art continues. At Alexander McQueen and Missoni, Minx nail artist Marian Newman coated nails in the brand’s trademark prismatic silver overlays. A custom swirling metallic effect complemented the ethereal underwater theme at McQueen, while Missoni’s design was a silvery take on the house’s colour- ful zigzag patterns. Metallic-infused nail art reigned in London too. Models at Louise Gray sported practically trimmed gold nails with impractical (but oh-so-fun) rainbow- coloured tips. Hand-drawn Egyptian-themed symbols—such as pyramids, tribal squig- gles and the all-seeing eye—adorned the nails at Topshop Unique, courtesy of London’s resident nail rebel Sophy Robson. Nails took a more ominous tone at Marios Schwab— proving that anything goes this season—where nail technician Antonia Georgiou alternated between light and dark (a running theme in the femme fatale collection), with half the models receiving a matte, nude finish and the opposite on the others: dark, glossy acrylic nails filed into long points, which she calls “powerful, demonic talons.”
