I used this first thing in the morning, and the subtle tea tree, lemon and thyme scent was super refreshing. The texture of the mask was a little slimy, but that didn’t turn me off, because it made the mask feel substantial and like it really was going to seriously moisturize my face. Putting it on was pretty hilarious. I was worried about tearing it, but it held up while I pulled it apart and laid it on my face. I immediately felt like a villain in a horror movie, which my boyfriend validated. Frightening appearance aside, it was soothing and gentle on my face. Twenty minutes later (it said 20-30, but I am impatient), I peeled the mask off. There was a lot of serum left behind with no explanation for how to proceed on the packaging, but Sephora’s blurb on the mask recommended massaging the remaining serum in to my skin. I did that, and once it was all soaked in, my skin was visibly more even-toned, and really hydrated.
