Looking good and feeling good often go hand in hand—this beauty truth is also the key philosophy of cancer-support program Look Good Feel Better. Run by the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation, the program offers beauty workshops to women undergoing cancer treatment at hospitals and care facilities across the country. At the two-hour sessions, beauty pros share their top tips on skin care, hair alternatives and more to empower women to look and feel their best despite the toll that cancer treatment can take on their bodies.
To raise funds for the cause, the CCTFA Foundation will hold Mirror Ball 2010 on Saturday, November 20. The gala event, now in its 19th year, will be hosted by CityLine’s Tracy Moore and feature a dance theme of music through the ages. Cocktails, dinner, and live and silent auctions round out the schedule for what’s sure to be a fun, feel-good night. For tickets, visit lookgoodfeelbetter.ca.
