Everything old is new again! From D&G and Gianfranco Ferré to Marc Jacobs and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, the doe-eyed Mod look that dominated the London street scene in the 1960s found its way to the Fall 2011 catwalks. Winged eyeliner, pale pouts and feathery lashes signaled the return of gamine elegance. But it’s not all retro redux, says Toronto-based freelance makeup artist Dianne Acri. With a few tweaks and colour palette adjustments, this vintage look can easily transition to 21st-century sophistication.
