An oversize floppy hat will give copious amounts of coverage and will give you a bit of glam edge—and it doesn’t have to be the standby beige straw. We love the Michael Kors version in summer-y green. A smaller brim will also do the trick.

A roomy top or tunic such as La Perla’s will protect the most sensitive of skin—paired with a forties style boy short in the same color, it almost doubles as a bodysuit and is super sleek.

Pretty parasols paraded down the catwalks this season in prints and solids. Choose a neutral like the one at Abaete or opt for a pretty pastel, print or eyelet for a more romantic look. Virtually a staple in Asia for most gals on bright sunny days, be sure to pop one in your tote en-route to the beach.
